About Avi Cohen

Avi Cohen is a structural engineer, graduated with a bachelor's degree (2010) from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico and a master's degree (2016) from the University of Pavia in Italy, with a specialization in earthquake engineering.

In his master's degree, Avi researched the upgrading of unreinforced concrete walls using sliding horizontal elements.

In 2011, Avi started working as a structural engineer at Yaron Ofir Engineers. In this framework, Avi specialized in seismic analysis and planning for upgrading complex buildings, including using advanced measures such as restraints and insulators, using non-linear analyses, prefabricated buildings and steel structures. Also, Avi led the building conversion project at Intel from an office building to a clean room building, as well as the planning business for the company's new FAB building.

Today he continues to lead the company's team operating in Kiryat Gat.
