Talpiot Market

Restoration of an 80-year-old building of great importance to the city. Until the work started most of the building was empty for several decades, the market operated on the two lower floors. The concrete in the slabs and columns has carbonized due to years of leaks and an aggressive marine environment. Each constructive change was checked by a conservation consultant. Finding a solution to restore the protective properties of the concrete was carried out through a partnership with Sika Israel. FRP sheets are used to strengthen the columns for greater loads.
